Featured Venus disarming Cupid. Who's the painter ?

    As you remember from Ovid's "Metamorphoses" Venus disarmed her son Cupid by taking his arrows from him to avoid more torments of love. This is what we see on this
    painting.

    Oil on panel. Unsigned. 43 cm X 32 cm. Probably from some time in the 18th century. Several artists have painted each their version of the subject. Who painted this one ? Maybe you know ?

    Cheeky little cupid still has an arrow in his other hand.

    Think that's the most nonchalant Venus I've ever seen.

    Could the artist be Jacques-Antoine Vallin (1760-1835) ? He painted several small sceneries on panel like this one with goddesses and nymps. Also with Venus and Cupid ?
