Footed bird dish Studio pottery?

    TIA. Healthy and Happy to All.Can anyone read the sig? Given to me by a friend as I liked it a lot and it didn’t sell at a market. No history. About 5.75” diameter.     Can't help with the signature, but the bird is a quail.

    It appears to be a California quail. I'd look in that direction.
