Good afternoon and wishing you all a Happy, Healthy New Year!

I was wondering if you could help me with the age of this Krementz Pendant. It is gold over sterling silver, genuine pearls and genuine nephrite. The pendant is 52mm tall and 40mm wide. Any information you could give me, will be great appreciated. Thank you advance for all you responses, stay well and be safe.

I agree with Owned regarding the style and as a matter of fact, I actually thought the style looked later, 1970's. But then I found this: In the 1950s, the Krementz hallmark changed from block lettering to script lettering.

I don't know if this applies to every piece they made though.

I didn't know Krementz ever used sterling. New one on me! There were some 14k bits at the end, but I think those were the product of the second Krementz company. (IIRC a son of the founders.)

Frank Krementz & Co. made fine jewelry in the early 20th century. Frank was a brother of George.
The original, larger, and better known (George) Krementz company is the Krementz company that most are familiar with. They specialized in gold-overlay and electroplated jewelry. I see their 1960/70s stuff pretty often in my local thrifts. George's grandson Richard Jr had a big influence with the direction of the styles at that time. It's very nicely made costume jewelry.

Oddly the Krementz 14k I'm familiar with was made in the 70s based on style. I've never seen a single piece that was really old.

Hi everlyb30 I just wanted to share a link from Rubylane that they did make item of sterling silver. this piece is gold overlay on sterling silver like mine that they claimed it's and art deco piece. https://www.rubylane.com/item/64052...Krementz-Sterling-GP-Rope?search=1&t=bb13fd89

I apologize, thought it mentioned art deco.

They go back far enough to have made Deco Jewelry. 1860-something if the Web can be trusted. Mens' jewelry originally.

Amethyst and a dogtooth pearl? I'd have that too!
