Thoughts on paintings before buying? Signature?

I found these yesterday at a local local thrift store, but the manager was not the reg. one & since there was no price on either she agreed to hold them until tomorrow/today when the reg. manager comes back & can give me a price.
Any thoughts on this painting & any help with the signature (looks like it could be J(Jerry?) Weiss to me - who is a known artist) would be appreciated! (this one is my favorite - it looks a little too good to me to be a student artist - but I've been wrong before!)

The 2nd one is also an abstract & is signed Sylvain but googling that turned up at least 1/2 a dozen artists with that name! Does anyone know who this artist is?

Which Weiss were you thinking of? I'm getting only a more realistic artist. This looks 60/70s, although some contemporary artists are revisiting this look.

Second painting may be Sylvia Spicuzza? She experimented with a LOT of media and styles, and seems to have signed her pieces in a variety of ways (I count 4 ways in this gallery alone, including "Slyvania"??), if she signed them. It looks like the "stamp signature" may have been something her estate did, as noted on some pieces in this gallery. Maybe you can ask the gallery?

Jono toh might be the artist for the first picture. Yours appears to be a signed screenprint not a painting. Not sure what his works bring though if your looking to resell

I just saw a link above but I don't think the first painting was done by Sylvia Spicuzza. It is far less refined than her work was. I'm not sure why the gallery thinks her work is so valuable, but perhaps in a world where there are few great artists left, it is. I'd be grateful for such!
So did you wind up buying them both? Let us know what becomes of them please!
