Hi all .I got this lovely the other day thinking Murano, but no definite attributions (that I could find!) .It could be modern import but I really think not.Its 15 3/4 inches high. All comments are greatly appreciated .

I think that’s old. Are those white dots in the glass or are they enamel?

I would have bought it as well. Just because it is from Pier 1, doesn't mean it can't also be Murano. I tried to find where they sourced these with some quick perusal but didn't have any luck. The shape actually makes me think more Venetian, so that is also a possibility. Of course, China is a possibility as well.

If it’s Italian, then possibly an Empoli maker.

We have to remember that at one time places like Pier One and Bombay and Co actually had quality merchandise. I remember when Franklin Mint had very nice things too ! The feel, the colors, the quality all say Italian to me as well, but Ive been wrong before.

FWIW - I've got one of these and recently saw another one in an antique store in my town. Never could figure out where it was from - so this thread is great!
