Hello, I'm looking for comments about Boho furniture. I have a table and 4 matching chairs to sell. I searched for what I have, to see what to price the set at. The chairs are Twisted Pencil Reed Cane Back Dining Arm Chairs. The table is L
laminate double V Pedestal Dining Table.
I found chairs like mine listed as
BohoTwisted Pencil Reed Cane Back Dining Arm Chairs
(for a substantial price), on a reliable website. (I know that an item can be priced at any cost, whether it is worth that cost or not.)

I tried to send the seller a message to inquire and possibly get some idea of the maker, and why they are priced as they are.
The message would not send without agreeing to an invasive list of things that entitled the website access to my email etc. etc. I backed off and logged in here instead.

The tags under my chairs indicate a furniture store but not a maker. My chair tags match the chairs of the seller I found. I would prefer to figure out who made these, and what the realistic value is. I already considered a reasonable price until I saw the listing I have described.

I am working on pictures. So far all efforts are "too large" even though I downsized to small. Would someone advise on picture size to upload? Current properties size is 300 by 168 . Made sure they are all upright. After uploading, a couple are side ways. Sorry but I was not able to correct that.
    Thank you for your comments.

That should be alright. The system usually accepts 640x420, even a little over.

The maximum is 1 MB and the ones you attached are much smaller, in fact rather too small to see to their best advantage. In addition you should select "Full Image" and not Thumbnail. You'll get there! New members often have trouble with pictures.

Thank you. Are there two ways to insert pictures (besides to click on upload) - landscape?

I wouldn't call it Boho. Boho is more of a nostalgic look, a bit Hippie-ish. This type of furniture is made in Indonesia.

So the "reliable website" I'm guessing is Charish? That's just a venue to sell items. Places like Charish, Rubylane, etc. often have very out-sized prices from dealers that aren't what those items go for reasonably on an open market. You have to base your research on sold listings, not asking.

It's worth noting that the same images (using Google Lens) are also on the dealer's own website for $370 less than their listing on Charish. I'm guessing because they don't have to pay a fee when selling it themselves. $725 divided by the 6 in the listing is $120, which isn't an exorbitant price for individual chairs from a dealer where they might be looking to sell to someone with a vintage or beach taste trying to find a full set.

That's a dealer though. An individual is going to take what they can get on Marketplace so they can get 4 chairs and a table out of their way. ;)

Not what I would call BoHo either. These is a 70s or later casual dining set. Chairs are rattan and the set would work well and sell best in coastal areas..... particularly Florida. Asking prices on sites like Charish, 1st Dibs and the like are exhorbitant, catering to those for whom money is no object and decorators working for same. Actual selling prices on these sites are significantly less than the asking price.

Chances are, what you have considered is probably more in line with what this should sell for. This is just used furniture and you should be able to compare to other used furniture being sold in your area. It need not necessarily be of the same type. There is nothing particularly special about your set to warrant a price higher than other used furniture.

If I could like this two or three times I would. Good reasoning and advice.

These on-line dealers cater to a specific clientele and have the infrastructure to deliver the goods to them. You need to ask yourself if you realistically have the customers in your area that would gravitate to a set like this. Even if you do, I probably would not expect to get more than 1/3 to 1/2 what a dealer's asking price is.

I have to agree that there is nothing "boho" about this set or, in my eye, anything particularly special about it... but it would make a nice sunroom set.
I'd feel lucky to get $150 on my local FB marketplace... if you've already received a "reasonable" offer, go for it!

My father manufactured rattan, wicker& bamboo furniture he had a factory in the Philippines & it was then shipped via container to the US, upon arrival it was then upholstered. It is very typical Florida furniture. He had quite a few stores in Florida and he also sold to major furniture stores throughout the US & Canada.
