Need infomation about this art.

I recently inherited this art work and am unable to read the artist signature. I'm wondering if anyone might recognize the artist and if so is this a valuable piece of artwork?

We don't do valuations, but now that you know who it is you can do your research.

This painting is in need of restoration as it looks like the varnish has gone completely yellow and changed the look of the painting. The cost may be more than what the addition to a sale price would be. They would have to remove the old varnish and apply new, at minimum. You can see a list of conservators in the US here.

 

Interestingly, many of his works found on the internet have a yellow cast.

Agree. From a reputable local gallery though and artist was prolific so painting possible. Additional photographs (including the back with frame) would be helpful.
