Antique brass photo frame, can you help with some of the letters and symbols?

Hi all, hope you have had a good Christmas if you celebrate! I picked up this sweet photo frame at auction recently. I'm hoping you can help me with some of the letters and images on the frame. "Albert" is inscribed on the bottom- some kind of tribute to Prince Albert or likely just the owner's name? There are various letters including, "ED", "EvR" (or EvH) and a large "F". There is also a canon and rooster. The frame measures 6.75"L x 4.2"W. Any and all info appreciated. Thank you!

 

Only thing I can offer is that ALBERT is likely a custom engraving of the name of the person whose photo was originally in the frame.
The canon, flags, desolate "landscapes" on either side of the oval, and the figure at the top are making me think it's some kind of war-related commemoration. I think roosters were used as mascots for some US Civil War regiments...?

World War I. The figure of Lady Liberty is at the top, leading the attack. The Gallic rooster is the symbol of France and the bird is standing on a pedestal marked "F." The silhouette of a French village. A canon. And the trees show the damage done to nature by warfare. I would think a gift from that lovely young woman to her beau or husband, Albert.

I would say that is an allegorical figure of Victory at the top rather than Liberty.

So many older pics have subjects that,to be frank,are rather homely. She is lovely . Id happily make her an instant ancestor.

 

The figure appears to have come off a sculpture.

Here she is. From the Arc de Triomphe (duh.) Bellona, the Roman goddess of War, as the personification of Liberty apparently.

Tried to find ED & EVM/EVH in the big directory of medalists by Leonard Forrer with no luck. Tried it both ways, but assume the surname of the one on the right begins with V. The only ED that was at all a possibility was an E. Drentwett, a forebear of a whole clan of medal striking Drentwetts.

Could have been just someone named Albert, but might have been Albert I of Belgium.
