    Merry Christmas to all!
I'm having great difficulty finding anything on this bracelet and the odd numbers associated with it.
The item came out of a bag of costume jewellery we inherited some time ago. I recently spotted the piece in the bag and gave it the once over and lo and behold it is apparently gold! It's marked Aurora and 730 in a square which is an usual number for purity, normally the mark is 750 or 75% gold.
More intriguing is the fact that my wife's Grandmother spent several years in India around the 1920's and brought back many gold items when she returned to Australia.
Unfortunately another family member has commandeered that lot but it leads me to wonder whether this piece had somehow been misplaced and put into the costume bag by mistake some years ago. Also having trouble finding 'aurora' marking and I have no idea what the stones are either DSCN3705.jpg DSCN3706.jpg DSCN3707.jpg DSCN3708.jpg DSCN3709.jpg .
Any Information would be appreciated folks

It's pretty and nicely made! And a family piece, which is nice to have.
I think it might be costume jewelry.
It's hard to tell from photos, so perhaps you should take it to a jeweler to confirm gold content. That way you will know for sure.

I don't see gold there.....the cutouts show an underlieing white metal....

Thanks, I know I should get it tested. That is a gold mark which doesn't necessarily mean that it is for sure.

u can see thru the stones to the graph .....they must be glass or plastic..

They could easily be thin slices of chalcedony in the cornelian color range. Chalcedony is translucent; transparent if thin enough. Not to say that they couldn't be glass. Think plastic is less likely.

Looks like costume jewelry. You can see what looks like base metal showing through the gold, and the links are not soldered. That said, I always test to be sure.
730 could be a design number.

Not sure if they're still in business, but there used to be a fashion jewelry company called Aurora. I agree with the rest that it is costume and that 730 is most likely the design number. Lovely that your wife has her grandmother's jewelry to enjoy!

    Ditto.
As komo said, you can see a white (or silvertone) metal coming through where the goldtone metal is worn away.

The textured back is another sign that it is costume jewellery. I believe that makes it post-1950, but costume is not my forte, so the costume joolies may have to correct me.

The sort of 730 mark is not typical of gold purity marks, but it is of manufacturer's codes. And as you can see, it was cast the same as the manufacturer's name was cast, so not stamped/punched like a purity mark.

That said, it is a very nice bracelet, inspired by Renaissance jewellery.

Thirded on costume. Yes, there’s wear, yes on the textured back and the overall look. The number will be a design number. Pretty thing.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts! Being in Australia I'm usually going to bed while most people are just getting up, hence the delay in comments! It probably is costume but I won't be wearing it anytime soon! I'll keep on searching for the maker which should provide most answers.

Don't worry, we are all from different parts of the world, so we're used to people coming and going at all hours.;)

I hope you'll enjoy your bracelet anyway, it is very nice.
And maybe you can smile nicely at the family member who commandeered the Indian gold, and she'll let you have a pretty piece.
