I usually put damp/wet items in a small room with a dehumidifier running untill no more water is collected in the dump bin.

 

Good idea. I run one in my basement in warmer months and they do work wonders.

 

I found a neat rained on chair the other day. It was behind the storage facility of a company I do some work for. It wouldn’t fit in my smaller sedan and would have been a tough sell but I hated to leave it. Very solid with a caned or rattan back and paw feet. Had seen better days but had life for the right person. It was very unlikely someone else was going to find it there so I liberated the paw feet in hopes someone else would use them at some point. It then occurred to me I could post it’s location on fbmp and offered that if anyone grabbed it I would give them the feet. No one asked for them. Glad you saved one!

 

This is a cool chair....someone could totally refinish the frame and reupholster it and it'd be amazing...
