The "King of Toilet Paper Art" was extremely prolific.

 

It does look like Morris Katz. Any idea why his work was passed on the Invaluable auction website?

 

I'm not an expert on him so I couldn't say with any authority. However, making your artists statement "fast decor art" probably doesn't excite fine art collectors, and it dilutes the market for less endowed collectors. You also have to have a known agent and/or dealer who champions the artist and/or at least 2 dedicated collectors of means.

 

Morris Katz billed himself the fastest and most prolific painter on earth. If that doesn't make for fast decor art, I don't know what does.

 

And had 2 Guinness world records as fastest painter I believe.

Agreed.
Jose Trujillo is another fast and similar artist to keep our eyes open for. Sells everything he paints on ebay (I think). Has a wonderful sense of humor and a great eye for color and design. Very similar work to Katz's but a tad more refined and less expensive although his prices are edging up.

 

"Your" referring to Katz. In him making his Artists Statement/career goals "fast decor art." Not a direct quote.
