Hey everyone! I've had this cool object for 10 years, and it's moved with me twice. I don't have a clue what it is, but I loved it at first sight. I want to give it a good clean, but I'm scared of messing it up. Before I do anything, I need some help figuring out what this thing is and the best way to take care of it. Also, I'm super curious about what it's supposed to be showing or representing. Any antique buffs out there who can lend a hand? Your advice would be amazing!https://photos.app.goo.gl/kb3MgQwauDimvMeAA

I was going to say St George slaying the dragon but he was on a horse?

There are "depictions" of a pedestrian St. George. The figure in yours doesn't have any saintly attributes though.

Hello, Mamalama. Is it made of pottery? Or wood? Or??? How big is it? What does the back look like? Where in the world was it acquired?

The other dragon slayer who turns up regularly in art is the Archangel St. Michael, but this is not he.

The front seems to be wood carved and intricately detailed. The back is more like pottery, with finger marks visible to where it was pressed. There are two crude holes at the top, which seems like it would be made to hang on a wall.

It is very heavy! Just around two pounds. It is roughly 8 inches across and 7 inches tall.

So the home made ruler you used is in inch marks? Just checking, this is an international board :)

    I'd think it's a modernish medieval-themed wall plaque.

Someone pressed clay into a mold? Curious but cute.
