What kind of metal is this?

    Anyone have any idea what type of metal this is? It doesn’t shine up with Brasso or Silver Polish.

    Anyone know its origin or its age? I don’t see any markings. It was my grandmother’s. Thank you!!

    Looks like copper plate on a tin zinc mix

    Lots from Japan in the 20s and 30s

    As above and I would think this was the correct orientation.

    Is it relatively heavy for the size/thickness and somewhat soft/malleable? If so it's likely antimony.

    Thank you all! I'm always in awe of people's knowledge of things.

    Given what everyone said, I do think it is antimony. Thank you for your help!

    Found this bit of information related to cleaning plated antimony ware:
    " Plated examples are often found very worn as the plating is easily rubbed off antimony while cleaning and polishing, it is not uncommon to find such items with just traces remaining in the crevices."
