Is this pendant really an antique Japanese coin?

I got this in a lot of jewelry. I did not pay the price on the tag. Is it an authentic 100 Mon from the 1800's? I've seen similar in google searches but would like confirmation from the experts here. Is it worth selling as is? As always, thank you for looking and for your advice.

Yes, it looks nice as a pendant, and it is probably worth more like this. The setting is non-invasive, so if someone wants the coin they can take the wire off.

maybe worth checking the wire for metal content....likly copper.....but....gold ???
