Silver vase ?

Hi all. Picked this up today not really sure what it was,but willing to cahnce it for $3. Its 6 inches high,4 wide,and there are marks but Ive yet to identify.Im pretty hopeless with them actually.I cant figure out why there are 2 lions ? Any and all input is appreciated.

 

Hmmm, I'm wondering if those are pseudo marks.

there's a lion rampant...and the lion passant or the lion passant guardant...

I thought so but the hallmarks intrigued me. Sheffield ?

 

They are not British hallmarks.

 

As komo said, it's not the right kind of lion (or crown) for the British hallmark system. But it's likely meant to imply/suggest/trick one into thinking there is a connection... that's why such marks are often called "pseudo" marks.

 

I kinda figured it wasnt silver,but like the Beaver hallmark I showed on here,it intrigued me. Another thing that made me wonder was the fact its so light. Usually plated is heavier. Or so I think !

 

That's been my (admittedly limited) experience too.
