Hello!

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. I am a complete novice when it comes to antiques (well most things really!), but I've always had an interest in old items and specifically their design and stories. I've done a bit mudlarking and enjoy finding old items and thinking about their history. I'm going through a lot of my parents belongings at the moment and they have some of their parents antiques so I'm looking to find a bit more about the items so I know what might be worth hanging on to.
    Look forward to learning more.

    Welcome Matt. You are my daughters age so i can pretty well imagine what you are sorting through! A lot of things you can search with google lens or on ebay to get an approximation of value. If you want more of the story this is a great place to post.
