Looking for info on this metallic 8" vase

    20231127_123642.jpg 20231127_123428.jpg I would like to learn about this vase I inherited. It was from a lady that traveled all over the globe in 1940's - 1960's. I'm thinking she may have purchased it in another country in her travels.

    Indian, probably Benares/varanasi made. These show up a lot here, colonial heritage and all that. Very tricky to date them. I’ve seen them with labels and a scratched made in India on the base.

    Oh yes, I hadn't seen it before. It says India 20-8*C

    Does marking India 20 - 8*C mean anything special?

    It’s probably a bit older with that pricked mark, maybe thirties or forties. I’d suspect the rest is the factory or maker.
