Looking for this lithopane farm lamp

Not entirely sure if it's vintage or antuiqe, but I can't find it anywhere! Ts like it dosent exist. I've only seen one other online that's the same as the one I used to have. One of my family members threw it out without telling me...

But here's the lamp, the only one ive seen online is a sold out etsy listing. If it's found I'll pay any price for it!

A Google Images search will bring up lots of similars. Likely only a question of time before identical on offer. Resin. Made in China. So possibly vintage but certainly not antique.

No apology needed. Antique, vintage, recent...all good! You never know who here has the item, or can locate for you.

 

When you start out it can be difficult to know what's antique and what isn't. When in doubt, just ask, and someone here is likely to know.
In time it will become easier, but there will always be things you don't know. I still learn every day here on antiquers.

Similar lamps feature lighthouses and Boyds Bears which were produced from the early 1980s on. Think you lamp may date to that period or a bit after but likely not before.

I hope you grab that shade......they can be harder to find than the lamp !!!

FYI, the scene is more commonly/correctly called an old mill, not a farm. That may help when searching.

And isn't the correct term for the shade lithophane, not lithopane?

 

Resin pieces from the 80s and 90s are now officially Vintage, much as some of us loathe the idea. ( I see resin and keep walking. Not my thing.) The lithopane shade makes me think it's not Old old, but it could be 20-25 years.

 

Yeah It probably is lithophane, I can't read things right. And I'll go searching for an old mill lamp!! Tysm

 

I think the shade is plastic rather than the traditional porcelain.
