I found a small 'furniture' store that has more art than furniture (1 corner is the owner's studio where he paints) coming hame from a thrift store today.
I ended up buying this lamp & a Hoi Lebandang litho both for $100. When I got the lamp home I tried to do a image search but couldn't find another example like mine - has anyone seen a lap like this?
Is it mid century modern? How would I describe it/what do I call ir?
    Thank you for any help!

Maybe call it a 'french horn' lamp - They kind of look like it?

I wonder if those lightbulbs are as original. It seems, to my eye, that it would work better with globes. Would change the whole look of the piece.

Agree that it should probably have globes. Would think more 80s than MCM. Have not seen one like it.

I would expect the base to be smaller and brass if MCM. Agree re c. 1980s date more likely.

I put bulbs in to be sure it worked.
    What do I call it?

How do you describe it? How about something like "vintage four-arm brass loop floor lamp."

Cool odd looking lamp. Also never seen one like that before. What is the base /stand of the lamp made of?
