    Hi all,

This is approx 8” in diameter. I know polychrome is painted in multiple colors. Is there a name for using one color but a few different shades? I looked up monochrome but it said it was for photography. I think the signature is LLR ‘89. This piece is kinda interesting because of the bottom. Is there a name for this style of bottom. Looked similar to much older techniques used a very long time ago. I know this is likely from 1989 like it says so not thinking ancient. The interior has been mostly glazed but portions were left unglazed. More art than for food consumption I presume

Any thoughts, ideas, or anything else on this is very much appreciated. My friend was gonna give it away at her yard sale and I thought to look it up first. You never know!!

    Thank you

That signature is typical of student potters.
