    Hi,
The only mark on this is a hand applied X with 2 dots. I can't find a similar example. Wondering if anyone has a clue as to origin or maker.
    Thanks! Majolica-Botanical-Leaf-Platter-.jpg Majolica-Botanical-Leaf-Platter-3.jpg

That is very nice. I don't know anything about it, though.

Almost certainly British. Mid nineteenth ish. God knows who.

Thanks Ownedbybear - thought British, but I really wasn't sure

The mark is the decorators piece work mark, so that they got paid.

It’s a pattern that was made by several factories, too.

OP's photo is much better than the Ruby Lane photo. IMO.

I was thinking very early wedgwood or minton perhaps. A lot of factories did the cabbage ware type thing though.

Disclaimer is in the 'type thing'. I reserve the right to be vague and tell lies.

    Vine, indeed.

Not a Wedgwood back or body, imo.

The yellow finish on the handles and the edge lack sharp definition, so I would agree not Wedgwood. I was a little surprised by the way that this was finished, which is why I wasn't sure if it was British
