Featured Norman Fraser, canadian pacific hotels poster. Is this authentic?

poster size 36x24". from a local estate

 

It's a real poster, but printed in the 1930s or reprinted in the 1980s I have no idea.

 

yeah thats where Im stuck. This one by COuillard has same/similar marking in the lower left and they say that that one was produced as late as 1950:

My late dad would have liked it because it came from a railroad. Any and all.

 

I'm assuming this is just low res "stuff" going on in the quality of the paper????? I
lightened, sharpened and contrasted.....that's all....I don't see much distinguishable..

I'm getting more of a 1970s vibe from the wording rather than 1930s

 

The bottom tips of the "W" in Wonderland are way off register. I suspect that's a good sign, though I don't know for sure. The modern reproductions that are out there seem to be correctly registered.

 

what an interesting catch MoS. What example are you looking at? the only one I see right now is one on etsy. Still hard to believe the original was messed up and the reprint fixed it...
