Featured Help dating gold micromosaic earrings?

    Size 5 feet...oddly I have a friend who could wear size 5s. That could be why the sellers didn't look too hard at the diamonds. They saw the bitty size and figured "why bother". A few thou later....

    The OP should definitely be investigating those earrings. No way to know why the tops were replaced at this point. I have a pair of what were omega back earrings. I had the posts removed because I have no holes. Not that I ever wear the earrings, but now I could.

    They’d not have been made in Ravenna, most were made in Florence. By nuns, would you believe.

    Ditto. And they're stunning, great find.
    Although many omega clips were a way of fastening posts, they were also used as clips only.

    Quite a day for a few very lucky members-those earrings & a pair of Fostoria Porch Vases,2 big pickin' lottery wins-wow !
    PS-I'll never know enough about glass to have bought that Fostoria Porch Vase.

    Yeah,I'd thought Fostoria's glory days were long gone- god knows how many other sleepers are out there.
    PS-I'd say these earrings are in the 'find of a lifetime' class.
