I saw the sale advertised on Facebook. The joolie at the necklace stand said it was the first time she was ever there, too. She wasn't an expert, asked me a few questions. We were cordial. There are a few more things I didn't photograph.

I love buying from non-experts. :D:D:D Sometimes they overprice things, but when they don't they really don't!

I was floored by the DONATIONS, and that they do it three days every month!

According to several sites, this is a "Fenton Hobnail Cameo Lilly of the Valley Bud Vase" The Discovery Shop had a $10 price tag on it and I grabbed it up.

The donations may not always be that crazy. I hit a monster score at my church's (alas former) monthly giveaway day more than once, but it wasn't consistent. Some months there was zero, and once or twice a year it was mother lode day.

True. They did have three six-foot long tables covered....it's worth a ride once or twice a month, Fiday opening day, Monday half-price day...can't wait to see the Christmas jewelry.

I'd probably be there when the doors opened as often as possible.

Pickings have improved of late. All found this week at the thrift stores. Also posted several art finds over in the art category as well.

I used to know who made this, as I have had it before. Distinctive white semi-porcelain clay. Any ideas? Picked up for only $1.00 at Habitat for Humanity.

This Banthrico building bank is a later one with rubber stopper but still a good buy at $3.00

This is a Cambridge Rosepoint compote. How can you pass it by for $2.00?

Thought this might be unmarked Russel Wright. Seems to be different in size and shape. Any ideas? Lots of wear so definitely old. 9" tall. Bottom pic shows the true color well. Had to pay a whole $5.00 for this one.

This little Mata Ortiz pot is by Lidia Renteria de Cote. Picked up for $2.00.

This little sterling cosmetic box was only $1.00. Will post on silver with more pics.

This Jemez Peublo pot is signed by one of the Chinana family potters. Thought the initial to be a G but maybe it is an S. There is a Sam Chinana that is known to have made pots but can find no examples or information. Any ideas? Definitely hand thrown and a good size at 4" tall and 5 1/2" diameter. Picked up for $2.00.

Couple more things. I bought this quite awhile ago and don't think I ever posted it. It is a Doulton's Pompeii soup tureen. Pretty large , impressive, and excellent condition. I really did not want to buy it. It was in the thrift store for $12.99 for several weeks. Went to half price and there were still no takers. I ended up buying it for $3.00 just to rescue it.

Picked this up this week from a local antique store from a dealer/friend of mine. Hanging pot is from Avon Coppersmiths. The oak hanger did not originally come with it but they go well together. Hanger is a bit rough and missing a hook but I can get it spiffed up pretty easily. Bought with a 20% discount for $30.00 for the pair. This is right in my collecting sphere, so a keeper. Avon is a well known maker and this was a good buy.

I found this for a tenner. I don't know if I've paid too much but looked to be interesting. Screenshot_20231105-184549.png

Great finds @verybrad ! That green vase is ringing, I want to say Weller but then my very feeble mind says Monmouth but no, wait, Mccoy? I found one attributed to Burley Winter. It's sure pretty though.
