    Hi everyone,

Found this handmade brass backed pendant of Coral, Turquoise and Agate stones. It looks Middle Eastern to me but I am no expert. Any thoughts on where and when it might of been made would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

India, Nepal, or something like that.

    Agree, (northern) India or Nepal.
The agates are real, the coral and turquoise are glass paste.
Coloured glass paste is used a lot in Nepal and northern India, and it often confuses people.

I've seen them with real coral and real lapis, even in nickel settings. Just to make life even more complicated.

Yes, it does happen. I have a single Tibetan cast brass earring set with a nice chunk of turquoise.

They use what comes handy, which when you're in the back end of nowhere when it comes to supplies, can be just about anything.

Not in the Himalayas, or the foothills of the Himalayas. There they use what a buyer is willing to pay for.;)
Jewellery makers there are concentrated in towns and cities, not in the back of beyond.
