    Hi everyone,

I picked up a wee job lot at a local antique centre and in it was this signed Lisner brooch in gold tone and green rhinestones. There were also these clip-on earrings, which seem like they may match the brooch but I am unsure as they are unsigned but also the gold tone on them is so much brighter than the brooch. My question is are these a set? Has the brooch maybe been worn a lot and dulled through wear or is it just a coincidence they are similar and these items are not related at all? TYIA for any help you can give.

This really isn't my area, but I see all the things you do, adding in that there's a difference in the construction between brooch & earrings. I think Lisner would have marked their product. They go really well together, & no one would notice discrepancies if being worn, but it's my opinion that they are not a true set.

In don't see a true set either. But they certainly could be worn together.

I am going on the other opinion here. I believe these are a set. Lisner didn't always sign their earrings. Many Lisner sets where the brooch is signed and the earrings are not.

I think the suggestion that maybe the brooch was worn and dulled a bit, is what is going on with the goldtone finish.

Here is a set on Ebay, earrings unsigned, construction has slight differences, yet clearly a set:

Lisner didn't mark everything, especially earrings as i recall, so no marks on the earrings mean little or nothing. They could easily be worn together. I can't remember if lisner jobbed anything out, because if they did the two pieces might not have been an exact match in the first place if they made both.

@Aznathalie that looks like an exact match, that's brilliant, thank you for finding that photo!

Good to know Lisner didn't always sign their earrings and with the picture of the other item above, I am happy that, even with a dulled brooch, I do have a true set with the earrings.... yay!

Thank you everyone for the replies, much appreciated.
