IMG_2828.jpeg I’ve tried to do my due diligence but failed to learn anything about this vase!
Other than it’s Japanese……I think
    c18cm tall.
Any age to it or modern made to look old?
    Thankyou

Satsuma, I think. It seems older, but I'm a poor judge...the signature may reveal more about that. Very nice!

It looks like Japanese Satsuma ware. But Gotheborg does not have the mark. As they say, "Satsuma was produced in Kagoshima, Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, and Kanazawa by hundreds of known artists, in many styles and by literally thousands of unknown decorators."

Thankyou. I’m clueless. I pull interesting looking waifs and strays out of the scrap ceramics in the hope of learning something! Spend a little and learn a lot hopefully……

Japanese Satsuma ware, Kyoto style, early 20th century, late Meiji or Taisho period. Mark on the base says 'right' so it's from a garniture of three and meant to be on the right hand side. Also says 96, a batch number, piecework mark, design no or similar.

:D:D:D I guess AI will take translating to the "next level" eventually. I remember trying to help an international student from China. His parents were working at the local university for a while, so he was plunked into school and he knew next to no English. But he was a bright boy and we used google translate for describing tasks and projects. Very handy!

I think it is Satsuma but poor quality and probably post 1920
