Impressionist Army Painting

    Screenshot_20231029_163006_Photos.jpg Screenshot_20231029_143916_eBay.jpg Screenshot_20231029_144003_eBay.jpg Looking for help on this painting.Size [ 17" × 12" ]trying to find information regarding artist signature,what army and date,location( possibly Continental Europe),type of board and age,and the lines on the front of painting are they on the board itself or brushed varnish marks or something else.Any help would be appreciated.

    Lines look to be due to varnish discoloration or just plain old dirt. Signature: H. Durand (Denaud?)

    Ditto.
    It looks more like Barbizon School, although the subject isn't very Barbizon. Probably roughly the same period, ca 1840-1870.
