Silver Coffee Pot

Hi all! It's been brutal out here, we've had no time for anything but unit clearance, food, and sleep. Apologies for not getting to people's responses on other topics!

I want to know about this coffee 'pot' amongst my grandmother's silver. I love the shape but it needs repairing (the lid needs glueing), is this anything worth the repair or should I say goodbye? (We have loads of her sterling and other things so that's fine)

It was repaired once on the bottom which has partially covered the marks. I'm assuming this is plate? It's quite heavy and the bottom looks wrong but just wanted to check it's not sterling or anything haha.

It's just this little hinge bit, it's snapped off and just needs securing back on. It's flat and easily lined up. That being said, I may not repair it and use it for flowers.

 

Thank you! I wasn't aware it was old as all that. My grandmother probably got it at goodwill or some such place 15/20 years ago, but it's still part of her things and it is lovely.
