Featured Schoffel Austria Brooch and earrings

Hello,

I just wanted to pop on and share a jewellery success I had which was a direct result from seeing something here on this board! I was at a vintage fair at the end of last month (and then went on my hols which is why I haven't posted it until now) and I saw a lovely brooch and earring set.
When I picked up the brooch and turned it over I noticed two things;
1) this brooch is extremely heavy and
2) I am sure I have seen this mark on the back recently somewhere on this forum and someone said it was worth something!

I came back and did a search and found that @Ownedbybear (thank you!)
had mentioned the maker here in This is what happens when it's too hot to haggle | Antiques Board (antiquers.com) and that I had therefore found a Schoffel matching brooch and earring set. Had I not seen it here it would have taken me an age to find out who it was by and who knows, I may not even have picked it up in the first place!

Anyway, this is a wee post to say thanks and to share the find, which is so lovely and better than any picture I can take, the stones are an amazing mix of colours, I think you call some of them watermelon due to the colour mix in the individual stones, and the quality of the piece is so fab, I am very pleased indeed!

 

I would have grabbed those even with out the mark.

 

You can see the quality! Good to know about that mark.

Thanks folks, they absolutely are a quality set, I love the gorgeous stones in them.
