Thank you all for the lovely comments and opinions. it came yesterday, looks better in reality than in the photos. It’s made of sterling silver, not hallmarked.
I am still amazed by the structure of the brooch, the sturdiness, never seen anything like it.
I just gave it a quick wipe, need to clean it properly.

I can imagine. It already looks better on your photos than on the seller's photos, wonderful, congratulations.

it's a little tour de force......... & in such fine condition it looks new !!!

 

For a time a friend & I tried designing mugs using pictures of cameos. For morning coffee we came up with:

 

Brilliant, totally me, I can only have a conversation in the morning after a cup of coffee, lol.
Where can I buy it from?

 

Afraid we only experimented for a short while & are not making anything at this time. Also, postage for a large mug from US to UK costs more than the mug.

 

And then there are probably import duties on top of that.

 

Or there's buying the image file and printing it in one's own territory....

 

Only to open it & find the handle has snapped off. When you buy a dozen blank mugs, they don't expect that you will receive 12 intact ones.

After you've bought the specialized printer & ink.

 

I let the business printer deal with that. I can barely stop cursing at the gremlins in my own machine.
