I found the Sculpture a week ago in my aunts basement. She said she owns it for about 30 years and it would be from the church in the town she lived before. We don't know anything more about it, maybe you can help us finding out more about it. Especially about the worth and the age.
The Site does not allow me to post all the picture in the thread thats why im using a link to google drive so you can see the Sculpture

I hope this shows up as a link if not you can copy paste it.

    Thank you for your help

Hi, Laurice! Members would prefer photographs posted here. Someone will be along shortly with instructions. (Not to worry, all new members have difficulty at first.)

Also add a picture of the bottom. Looks rather old to me.

Your statue is Jesus as the Good Shepherd (Christians are his flock). He would have had a shepherd's crook in his left hand.

He is antique, has considerable (and beautiful) wear, but I don't know how antique he is. Germany has had some of the best religious art carvers in the world, and life-like carving began in the Gothic period.

But none of us here are experts in this field, which means we can only guess or post pages of photos of Good Shepherds etc that are not relevant.
So I would advise you to send your photos to a German museum of religious art, like the Schnütgen Museum in Köln/Cologne:

In that case the Schnütgen Museum is the best place to ask.
Will you let us know what they say?
