Featured Unusual Wedgwood jasperware pin dish

    Howdy. I'm posting this purely to showboat it really as I've never come across this type before. It's jasperware terracotta on black background. The back was scratched to blazes when I bought it but I have managed to take this out with a bit of p1200 wet n dry and it has come up a treat with minimal effort.

    Terracotta on black basalt. I think that’s one of those Egyptian revival pieces. Made to coincide with the king Tut exhibition.

    Two Nile crocodiles and lotus. I’m trying to remember which of the tomb goods or whatever it was. The colour is unusual, indeed.

    I’ve seen Nile crocodiles. They were worshipped, too.
