I almost didn't buy this as it was listed as gold tone and CZ stones! I paid around $60 for it. It turned out to be 14k solid with 10 .12ct diamonds. It weighs a whopping 36 grams as every link is solid! It also fits me perfectly which is an added bonus. I believe this piece to possibly be from the 1950s or 60s?

Congratulations!! Best get the security chain put back on that beast! :joyful: It's very pretty.

Might be earlier 20th c? It's got a joint spring ring and solid trigger. I only ever see those on late 19th/early 20th c pieces.

    Any marks?

There was a marking on the safety chain however it was slightly broken so it was removed to be resized. It was only marked 14k and was absurdly long, like almost 4 inches and hung down way too far which leads me to believe it may have been added later perhaps. Other than that no markings. I also believe the clasp to have been added later and may not be original?

I think that was once a rather splendid watch chain.

    Spart, you did it again!
That cross hatch finish looks 1950s-60s, but the clasp gives me pause.
It looks like you got some decent diamonds too. You could scrap that today for over $1000! (But don't!)
    It's fab!

Yes, I thought that re crosshatch. Called telato in Italian and a technique the luxury jewelry film BUCCELATI is known for. ( The company describes telato as creating a surface very similar to linen and canvas.) Given BUCCELATI's popularity in the 1960s and the pieces visual weight, I'd think 1960s as well.

I'd hang on to the safety chain that came with it, even if you decide to shorten it or fully replace it. Might have some clues if original to the piece.

What an absolute score!!! Magnifique! :singing:

Here is the safety chain, looks like a modern chain and clasp which leads me to believe it may not be original nor is the main clasp holding the bracelet together, probably just added later on at some point! It is only marked 14k.

What makes you believe the clasp is not original? It appears to be the same color and is an appropriate proportion.

I've looked all over and there are no marks except for on the safety chain thats marked 14k.... Maybe there were more marks on the original clasp? The antique one currently on it is a bit more rosey in color than the rest of the bracelet and is noticeable in natural lighting..
