IMG_4662.png IMG_4663.png IMG_4664.png I’ve been chatting online with the seller of this plate in an attempt to identify the maker but have drawn a blank so far.

it looks like Italian majolica but the very well painted design is Persian influenced .

It has an impressed mark which looks to begin OTTO at the top and end with STR and a number. Both these indicate a German or Austrian (or even Swiss) maker but I can find nothing at all.

It’s a long shot but can anyone make out the maker?

    Looks like OTTO BREWE.
Brewe is a surname here in the Netherlands, but I think it originated in a German speaking country.

I keep seeing Nieustr 35 in the bottom line, which would suggest a Dutch address. Odd for a ceramicist to stamp his address like that, bwdik.

Nieustr is short for Nieustraat, New Street. The official spelling would be Nieuwstraat, but there are towns where they still use an older spelling.

I could be reading it wrong, of course.

Forgot to say, it is very beautiful. Not a style I associate with the Netherlands though.
Maybe @Aquitaine can tweak the mark for you?:)

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

It's a bit darker, as well as inverted also, but not sure I was able to get the lower letters any clearer......
