A recent acquisition. I am struggling to find the manufacturer. A lot of similar Pinherro ones but the mark is all wrong. Any ideas please?

Does look like a Bordallo Pinheiro knock-off. And impressed Portugal.

Hi Debora. Thanks. So the longer word in the centre says Portugal you think? I think the swirly mark below this is key.

Just found this one by secla. Looks very similar. Not got a match on the mark yet though.

Yes, I see "Portugal." (Hope someone else does too!) The brand mark looks like an abstract butterfly.

There are lots of similar items listed as JF Vestal but I can't seem to find anything "official" regarding it.

Me neither. Vestal is based in Alcobaça and the traditional pottery is painted blue. And I can't find any Vestal mark that isn't painted. Or any Vestal mark that uses the initials "JF." Strange.

Oh, clever you! That looks right (to my eye.) According to google.pt, they are located in Alcobaça.

Hey, for anyone interested in modern Portuguese ceramic brands, I found a trade organization site that has a list of members by region. (Alcobaça isn't included.)
