Featured Help With Head Dress

    Hi all, I wasn't sure where to post this, so I'll try here.
    This belongs to a friend, trying to figure out where it is from. A google image search brought up this Ebay listing, but no idea if the info is correct.

    seems to be correct for an Akah Thailand hill tribe headdress.....of recent mfg..

    Yes, it is from the Akha, one of Thailand's Hill Tribes.
    This one was probably made as a souvenir, Akha ladies usually prefer them almost entirely covered with bling (and who can blame them;)).
    The seller seems to be confused as to the location of Thailand.:D

    Forgot to add, it has nothing to do with ceremony, it is just part of the Akhan women's costume.
