R.C Chinese temple mark

    Can anyone identify this backstamp please. Looks like R.C Chinese Temple.

    Royal Cauldon perhaps?

    Chinese Temple is the pattern name. Looks like English transferware.

    Seconded. British made pottery, made before 1890 for certain. If I were guessing I'd say 1830s to 1850s since the pattern name is on the back but the impressed diamond mark isn't.

    There is a cup too which is very similar to the hilditch shape. I don't recognise this as a hilditch mark though. Not sure they even marked their wares. Hilditch made a pattern called Two Temples which is very similar.

    I have no clue. I'm not a porcelain expert or even close, but the diamond mark is pretty well known and was in use from the mid-1850s until 1883.
