Paging @DragonflyWink for starters. This little gem is marked , I think, IG and then 925S. It came with the Chinese box which has nothing to do with it. Maker anyone?

I didn't found the I.G. maker of your beautiful salt in the book " Northern lights"...
But I can say the nice box isn't Chinese but Indian!:)

Do you think? It’s the guilloche and colour that made me think Chinese.

    Gorgeous, obb!
    Ditto.
 She does, she has a few kohl bottles of the same 'stuff'. Certainly India, I believe made in Jaipur.

Which reminds me, I really have to start a kohl bottle thread, the variety and beauty is a feast for the eyes.:)

Sorry - saw these pretty pieces earlier but had to run. Though I think there's some deeply buried memory of seeing that 'I.G.' mark, it's definitely not anything my brain can access - ran through my available references with no results, but believe it's almost certainly late 19th-early 20th century Norwegian (love those elegant legs). And as already said, the little pot is Rajasthani - have seen similar pieces misidentified, including in at least one reference book, as originating in all sorts of places, China is much more reasonable than most.

Might mention that neither is guilloché, which would be an engine-turned design, whether enameled or not - these are basse-taille enamel, transparent enamel over a design or texture in the recess...

One of my kohl bottles, on this one you can see that it is Indian, the cute little dancer is wearing northern Indian dress:

Thank you. And it is only small, but lovely detail.
I have two of these Indian enameled silver kohl bottles, the other is more squat and has a flower and vine motif.
I love the colours of the enamel, beautiful blues, and so vibrant.
