I like leather, solidly made, and big enough to haul what needs hauling. Strap wide enough not to hurt me. Otherwise I'm not too picky. My record for killing a vinyl bag was four days flat, and that's the last vinyl bag I ever bought.

Not finds but more : What Ruth has been up to. The top one is glass. The others are onyx (probably dyed since it all is), possible moonstone, larimar, and the one at the bottom was found as a bag of beads. The pendant tests as mostly silver, but I have to wonder about the other beads.

I like the onyx with the turquoise pendant. Not sure if my outdoor show will be rained out Saturday....but here are some things I finally got around to photographing today.
The pearls were supposed to be $3 at an estate sale, but she saw the 10k clasp and charged me $25. Grrr.

The red brooch is Kramer, antique mall splurge at $25, the amber marked Czechoslovakia brooch was $12. The blue piece was $5, outdoor show. Is it Juliana?
    See back.

The 14k Galatea pearl diamond pendant on a thicker 14k foxtail? chain was an antique mall mistake at $8. The 14k diamond cross on a costume chain was $3, outdoor show.

Lumii_20231006_112045378.jpg The rings....the opal and unmarked rose gold ring was pricey at $30. The 14k DQ cz sapphire band was $8, same outdoor show. I attended a gem show, went the end of the day. The man seemed to like me, told me to pick out any items I wanted, even gold, for $5. The oval ring is 10k, all sapphires, $5. I need to put these away and photograph more.

What does "DQ" mean in this context? I only know it as Dairy Queen. Beautiful color on the opals.

Thank you. These were $4 in an antique mall. No markings, the stones are opened back diamonds, you can see the one on the left is chipped. My guess is they may have been screwbacks converted to costume pierced posts. I have repairs going to my jeweler today, will keep you posted.

The figure 8 puddling says D&E. Juliana was a line made for a few years, it looks like D&E but may not be Juliana. Then again, it may be :)

Seconded. D&E very likely. Juliana very unlikely. I know some people insist on using the name as a search term and it makes me crazy. Not even 10% of their output was tagged Juliana.

I like those earrings, and am ready to smack whoever removed the original screwbacks. I could have worn those! OTOH it let Marko get them for cheap since the markings were on the findings.

We got nothing, showers, and soaked alternately. The tag sales were washed out, but the rummage sale wasn't! Got medical red-shirted out of an estate sale yesterday, but it's just as well possibly.

    Nice thing.

Thanks. Already feeling better. The thing that really kept me away is something that will probably never get better. It's one of my usually minor league problems that only comes into play once in a while. My ears don't un-pop when I go over the local "mountain". (wouldn't qualify out West) The sale was on the side of said Mountain, so I bailed since I like being able to hear. It took a month for things to go back to "normal" the last time I went too far up the overgrown hill. Still paying for going over it over five years ago. I'm only dumb once.
