    kyratango Bug jewellery addiction!

The nailpolish before getting rid of the oxydation would keep this blackening in place:nailbiting:
Time for tarnex first! (In this case or on oxidized vermeil only!)

Isn't tarnex the devil's work?:vamp: Or is the devil's work the only way to tackle this problem?:nailbiting:

Devil be damned!... I use Tarn-X all the time! Just a small amount is needed.
It hasn't ruined anything I own yet!

As I stated previously, a bit of Tarn-X dabbed on the broken out area with a small brush. Followed by a quick rinse with water. Then inexpensive matching frosty blue nail polish.

Any further crumbling areas can be bolstered with clear glue, like Duco cement or even super glue. It's like a surgical procedure requiring a very delicate touch.

This piece is beautiful but badly damaged. Anything is an improvement, yes?

    Exactly!
it can be as dreadful as the aluminum foil and salted water trick on deeply oxidized silver:nailbiting:
Leave the silver white but in raw state:arghh:
Stracci method is the way to go:)
