French or English 19th century tureen?

Any idea of the age of.this . Came.with small sauce boat I posted in earlier thread. From research it looks French. I thought it was transferware at first but then it looks handpainted as the pattern isn't identical and I saw.blotted area where the paint brush would.have been left on there. Maybe I'm wrong.

No maker mark but I noticed a faint '8' on the base.

Any idea of age? Maker (from the '8' mark - guessing no as it's probably a mould number, ) and value? They seem to go from anything from £50 to £250.

looks like transferware to me. I would think English. St. Armand did something similar but I don't think this one is it.

I think English. With the chip, value is reduced.

There isn't a general rule on value reduction as it depends on the item and the amount of damage.
