I wasn't saying a word, just paid my $3.99 plus tax and pretty much ran out the door.
It is is perfect condition too.
It is clearly marked on the inside. 925, serial or item number, Trade mark R in a circle
Gucci Made in Italy. A number 14 that i am not sure what it is for, Size?
They made this same ring with several different colored center stones also.

Wow, that's really a statement piece!
Can we see a better photo of the GUCCI mark?

You'd better check if it isn't fake Gucci. The setting of the small stones is rather sloppy.:(:sorry:
Fake Gucci jewellery is openly available all over the internet. So maybe they knew it wasn't Gucci.
    Still, a bargain at $3.99.

Well the good news and the bad!
    It is the real deal!
As @Any Jewelry said, the small stones are not perfectly set. It's the same on others.
But if you look at my second pic, there is a small dent on the corner that I had not seen before the jeweler pointed it out to me.

Congratulations!:) Did you have it verified by a Gucci dealer?
Good thing I never buy Gucci. I wouldn't want to pay their prices for badly set stones. Other contemporary designers do a better job.
So there is. Did they say how that affected the value?
It'll always be more than $3.99, of course.;)

It took a lot of texts and a couple phone calls, but I was able to show it to a friend of a friend who works in a high end Jewelry store in Roseville Galleria. They even have one of these rings with the clear center stone. I was told that the multiple design elements of these rings made it hard to copy and there hasn't been any fakes identified to this date.
And apparently the damage as small as it is,
    depreciates the value by 40%

I hope it is genuine but all the Gucci jewelry I’ve owned over the years was very well made. I’m really shocked by the setting and there is a ton of replica jewelry out there but respect that you had it looked at. Personally I’d bring it into Gucci to see if it can be repaired-do NOT mention authentication.

As I would expect it to be.
    That is the best way.

Agree with above. Take into retailer and ask about repair. Do not mention authentication.

And if asked where you got it, say you inherited it!

Just wondering... if it is fake, will the Gucci store confiscate it?

A retail outlet can't confiscate private property. They have no authority to do so.

OTOH if it IS fake, I generally ask them to toss it for me so it can't get back into circulation. Real silver with a fake label? Into the melt pile it goes.

My experience is that they just return the piece (Cartier refused to take in a watch saying it was not made by Cartier from a woman in front of me in the service line) BUT IMO they should confiscate counterfeits and get them out of circulation.
