Newcomer Lucy living in Antigua

    Hello, I have lived in Antigua for 30 yrs and designed and built my own house here. It is open plan, open to the elements (24/7) and I have some beautiful antiques from my family all of which I use. Some are deteriorating as a result of this but my family were advocates of using and sharing the stories of their provenance rather than storing away.

    Welcome Lucy. My family visited Antiqua as a teen. Delightful country. In Venezuela our house was also open to the elements . Here I open the windows when ever possible but it is not the same. My daughter told me if she inherits it, she will use it so sell it if you don't want me to use it!

    My mother still talks about her grandmothers house in Cuba and how it was open to the elements. We cant wrap our heads around that,but she loved it. Welcome.
