Small Silver Ladle Mystery Mark

Small (5 1/8") ladle, with roses pattern. Mark (see photo) is 2 diamonds around a square (◆●◆). Haven't been able to determine what the mark means.

I believe it is Baltimore Rose by Schofield c.1905.

Indeed it is. Thank you so much! It's a lovely pattern. I guess I'll never know how this singlet came to be in the collection. It has my MIL's mother's maiden initial ("F") on it, so is presumably from that branch of the family.

 

Did your MIL go around to antique shops, thrift shops, estate sales, or garage sales? She might have picked it up at any of these places just because she liked the pattern or because it had the correct monogram.

 

LOL, that's just what I do. I'm sure my kids will be one day scratching their heads over some of the stuff they find in my house!
