I've had this for a while now and can't identify the mark on the base. Any clues please?

    Italy.
Looks quite like Bitossi... what I've seen called their "feather" pattern...

Oh right. Thanks. I have been searching for Hacy and Haly. I actually found another piece listed as Haly so I am not alone :bag:

Edit: Found this which has a very similar pattern. Perhaps you are correct. I will look into Bitossi marks.

It is a chicken, yes? Only one hole for contents to shake out?

There’s a very good facebook group for Bitossi.

I am guessing it is a chicken albeit an abstract one. I can only see the one hole.

I can still see that it is a chicken, so maybe stylised rather than abstract?:chicken:

It says "Italy." It's very common to see "Italy" written very sloppily.

It's a shame they refused me joining the group.

Why do you want to join this group
To learn more about Bitossi ceramics.

What do you like most about bitossi
The great diversity of colours and styles

    Fail.

Many groups want to see passion, preferably in a short story, or if you can spare the time, a novel.

When I asked to join a few years ago, due to one piece coming into my possession, they approved me despite my very short answers... but maybe there's different mods now? (Bitossi and MCM Italian Ceramics)
I've since left the group when I was doing a FB purge.
    @Chinoiserie ... try again.

I appreciate that but it's a group with minimal if not zero running costs. Surely having a genuine interest is enough?

I will have to go back again with a false moustache.

Maybe I should have just said that I have a couple of pieces that I would like to show them and the curiosity might have got to them.

If you would be so kind. That would be appreciated thanks. Do you have enough images from this thread or do you need more.
