Featured Bentwood Box #2

    I absolutely love this bentwood box! Reminds me of medieval times! Measures 6 inches tall and equally wide. Marked "JS" on the side along with "2L" and a cross with shield engraving. Looks like it is missing two of the metal straps? Any info you would like to share is always greatly appreciated!

    I think its a grain measure, possibly Swiss, holding 2 litres.

    The shield marks might be verifying that it is a certified measure by the government standards. Just a wild guess.

    I think it is the coat of arms of the Swiss city of Bern.
