Royal Standard Fine Bone China Identification

Sadly we have had to move my 93 year old mum to a care home and are in the process of clearing her home. We have found some Royal Standard Fine Bone China in a showcase and were wondering what the pattern was and whether it had any value. If there is any value is Gumtree/Facebook the best place to sell? Thanks

Look at ebay sold listings for Royal Standard. Fine china is not selling well, since you can't stick it in a dishwasher. Shipping costs are more than it's worth. If a family member doesn't want it for sentimental reasons, you may be able to sell it locally.

 

Royal Standard is not (and never was) a high end name in china, I agree that it's not likely worth much at all. Also, the pattern isn't the type to attract serious cup and saucer collectors. How many pieces do you have? Do you have a matching tea or coffee pot? Your local FB marketplace, or the like, would be your best selling option. Pricing would depend on how much you have.
It's quite likely the pattern never had a name.
According the THIS SOURCE, Royal Standard was the trade name of Chapman's Ltd and were in business from 1916-1966. Your mark is from the end of those years.

 

I'd second Gumtree, or donation to a charity shop for the tax writeoff - if you get one in the UK. Even here in the States I know that unfortunately. The china is a hair older than I am and I know what they'd get for me. (someone would have to be paid to haul me off!) Formal china is starting to come back a bit, but that's not saying much.
