Featured LARGE USAF jet photos

    I got these 3 large photos when I got the 2 Navy ones. They are glossy photos glued to matte board. I believe they were printed by Republic Aviation, who made the jets. I'm guessing late 1950s early 1960s. I couldn't fit the entire photo on my scanner - too big. I don't really have any questions - I just thought you might like to see them.

    Swept-wing F-84 Thunderstreak USAF #3776. Photo size 14" x 11":

    F-105D-5-RE Thunderchief #58-1173 carrying sixteen 750 lb. M117 general purpose bombs. Photo size 11" x 13 1/2":

    I'm rather impressed by the number of missiles zooming along. What the heck were they doing?

    Yes - I've been getting LOTS of aviation ephemera that almost all came from one of the many airfields on Long Island.

    My younger brother who flies small planes as a hobby often came into Republic Airport from NJ on weekends way back when.

    True. I saw your harness racing photos on ebay. Nice look at how racing was back then.
