French Style Vitrine age?

Reproduction piece I'm sure, but curious about the date. I don't think it's as old as the seller thought. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Sydnie, many of us are cat lovers. So when you post a photo with a cat, which we love, the cat takes center stage.

 

Is that a red velvet lining? Can't say I've seen that before. The lining is what makes me think some neo-classic revival.

 

Would like to see the back but thinking Italian 1960s or so.

 

It's very sun bleached. The wood was a much darker stain on the inside, and the velvet used to be a dark red.

 

It's also missing the marble top, which I'll need to replace.

 

Looks like a lauan plywood back so maybe even 70s or later. Much beyond that, Italy quit producing as much French furniture, particularly, at the lower end. Egypt began to pick up the slack and, now, most is probably made in the East.
